Ever since I was able to walk I can remember being around these wonderful and gentle giants.  I started in junior showmanship at a young age and made my appearance a few times in the big rings. I was a junior member of the Wolverine Great Dane Club and helped with the formation of the club itself.  When I started high school my interests went away from showing but I still maintained my knowledge in the breed.  I now am married to my wonderful husband, Jeff, and have a beautiful daughter, Kathryn. I have a certificate as a Medical Transcriptionist but chose to be a stay-at-home mom and raise my daughter, which is a full time job in itself.  With all the time I had my mother asked if I would be interested in starting an online Great Dane magazine. Thus began the creation of The Great Dane Gallery.
I enjoy creating these web pages and take great pride in the work that I put into them.  I hope that you enjoy the website as much as I enjoy working on it.

Hi Guys! I told my daughter I was too fat to be on film, so here is a slightly "older" picture of me! I got my first Dane in 1975 as a wedding present. Growing up with toy poodles, the first thing I wanted when I moved out of my parent's home was a "Real Dog", and the Great Dane was it and has been since then.  We have owned and finished other breeds, but to me, there is nothing like a Dane.  Our first champion was Ch. Merrimac's Argus of Notre Dane in 1980.  He was out of Ch. Sheenwater's Joker's Wild and a daughter of Ch. Harmony Hill's Sherwood Joker.  After we finished him, he went to live with a breeder in California who specialed him to #1 male in the country.  Our bloodline still goes back to him to this day.  We took a hiatus from showing raising our two kids, and are now back.  In between, I started the Wolverine Great Dane Club with a group of friends, and basically lived, ate, and breathed club business for 7 years until we got licensed in 1992.  I have held most office positions and show chaired our first 3 shows. I have taken a long deserved break from club business and concentrated on finishing a few dogs the last couple of years while working at home as a Medical Transcriptionist.  But now I am ready to roll up the sleeves again and do both.  Hope to see you at ringside!!
